Meet Acts of Humanity: The Power of Purposeful Events Contributor – Mary Ann Pierce

In Acts of Humanity: The Power of Purposeful Events we had the pleasure of working with a number of contributors. Each brought insights, stories, and experiences that resulted in a fabulous book.

I’m honored to thank Mary Ann Pierce — founder of MAP Digital and a communications leader whose career spans film, theater, and marketing — for her contribution.

Mary Ann was especially important in sharpening the book’s emphasis on the word “purposeful” itself, and on the idea that events are both a communications vehicle and an art form.

Mary Ann helped sharpen Essay 4.10 | How Did We Do? She gave the measurement essay its backbone: purposeful events should be designed backward from evidence of change, not judged afterward by applause, attendance, or satisfaction alone.

Many thanks to Mary Ann for her time and contributions!

Acts of Humanity: The Power of Purposeful Events comes out early August but is available for pre order now!
